InPlug is made and sold by AGsoundtrax LLC, 1007 N Orange St, 4th Floor, Suite 1382, Wilmington, DE 19801, United States ("we", "us"). This page explains what we collect when you visit inplug.app, buy or try InPlug, or use the app, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions go to us at support@inplug.app or through our contact page.
The short version
- We collect only what we need to sell you InPlug, run your license, help you, and improve the app.
- We never sell your personal details and we do not show ads.
- Your plugin library, collections and settings stay on your Mac.
When you visit the website
- Your browser remembers which page you first arrived on and the site that sent you, so that if you later create an account we know how you found us. This stays in your browser until then.
- Our website host keeps standard server logs (such as your IP address and browser) for security and to keep the site running.
When you create an account, start a trial or buy
- Your name, email address and country, and what you bought or tried.
- Payments are handled by our payment and license provider. We never see or store your card details.
- When an account is created on the website, we also note your approximate location (country and city, worked out from your IP address), the site that sent you, any campaign tags in the link, and your browser, language and screen size. We use this only to understand where our customers come from.
- If you agree to receive news from us, your email address is used for that, and every message lets you unsubscribe.
When you contact us
- Your name, email address and message, so we can answer you.
When you use the app
- On your Mac. Your plugin list, pictures, collections, favorites and settings are kept on your Mac. If you turn on sync, they are also kept in your own iCloud account, which we cannot read.
- Updates. The app checks for a newer version and downloads it. This sends no personal details.
- Shared plugin pictures and info. If "Share plugin pictures and info" is on in Settings, the app sends plugin names, makers, versions, categories and pictures of plugin windows, with the app version and a random install number that is not linked to your name or email. Everyone's app uses these to fill in pictures and details. You can turn it off at any time.
- Feedback and error reports. Only when you choose to send them: your message, your name and email if you add them, a picture if you attach one, the app's log, your macOS version and the random install number.
- Your license. When you activate a license, the app sends your license, your Mac's name and a code worked out from your Mac, so that a license can be used on the number of Macs it allows. You can free a Mac from your account.
Why we use it
- To sell you InPlug, deliver your license and let you manage your Macs (to perform our contract with you).
- To answer you and fix problems you report (our legitimate interest in supporting our customers).
- To understand how people find InPlug and to improve the app (our legitimate interest in running the business).
- To send news, only if you agreed (your consent, which you can withdraw).
- To keep records the law requires, such as tax records for sales.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of service providers who handle data for us and only on our instructions: our payment and license provider, our website host, our email delivery service, and the messaging service that tells our team about new orders and messages. We may also share information if the law requires it. We never sell your personal details.
Our team and some of these providers are outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, such transfers are protected by standard contractual safeguards.
How long we keep it
- Account, license and order details: for as long as you have an account, and sales records for as long as tax law requires.
- Messages, feedback and error reports: as long as needed to help you, and no longer than two years.
- Shared plugin pictures and info: they describe plugins, not people, and stay in the shared library.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to stop using it for a purpose, or to give you a copy. Write to us at support@inplug.app or through the contact page, and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. If you live in California, you have the right to know, delete and correct your personal information, and we do not sell or share it for advertising.
Children
InPlug is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their details.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. For important changes, we tell customers by email.
